Is Busy-ness Robbing You Of Joy?

Living life is a complex business given we have to HANDLE SO MUCH!!

Do you agree? 

Meaning, we have to handle pressures, external expectations, our own expectations (!), our body chemistry (any women over 50 reading this?), our billing cycle (and others' billing cycles with us), our spiritual longings to contribute, our childhood's longing to make something of ourselves, our loved ones' circumstances (so we feel they're OK), our horoscope (!) - there was a full moon eclipse yesterday which should have played on our lives somewhere - and the list goes on...

SOOO... how do we do it?

How do we stay sane when we're juggling SUCH a load of input from our inside/outside expectations?

Well, I LOVE that I can ask my spirit mentors good questions - and THIS one feels like a good question...

So let's see what they say:

"Dear ones!

This question begs the question: WHY?

Why do you have so many expectations? Given that this blog gives us a chance to mention some good overview points about how best to operate in your human framework - let's explore this point...

From our point of view - as senior-level spirit mentors, we can't imagine being pre-occupied with thought - let alone the outcome of those thoughts - which basically creates stress.

For us, we prefer to hang in a no-thought zone. Way beyond logic, way beyond giving anything any 'meaning'. So, to give you a clue about how that feels, well, it feels very very joyful.


And the interesting thing is - you as humans, have exactly the same part of you lying somewhat dormant - deep inside your heart/psyche.

Humans were designed to be joyful, it's in your DNA.

So whenever you are NOT being joyful - you HATE it! It feels awful. You LONG to feel joyful - everything you do is an attempt to re-gain that joyful state. Everything.

SOOO - you can shortcut the process you know. You CAN just stop all the thoughts - no matter HOW pressing they might be - and dive into a state of calm, bliss and joy. Simply by stopping your thoughts! Below the thoughts is a state of calm, gentle being-ness.

It sits there constantly whether you are participating in it or not. 

All the running around, all the catching up with 'have-to's', all the panic to achieve, to meet deadlines, to even 'make a difference' is (to be ruthlessly blunt) a distraction.

It's a distraction from the simple feeling of love that is (can you BELIEVE THIS) always there for you whenever you want. !!!!


Why do you distract? Because (can we be honest?) you fear being hurt. You fear other's opinions of you, and you fear not fulfilling yourself in this lifetime.

It's like a mouse on a treadmill - never getting off, never stopping, and GOING ROUND IN CIRCLES.



The more often (and the longer) you stop and just BE - the DEEPER YOUR SIMPLE CONNECTION TO YOUR INNER SOURCE OF JOY will grow.
